Q: How do I register to vote using the ChooseUrFuture.com online voter registration tool?
A: First, click the Register to Vote button on any page on this website or any website hosting the ChooseUrFuture.com online voter registration tool. You will need Adobe Flash Player to view your voter registration form. If you don't have Adobe Flash Player, click here. You will also need a printer to print out your registration form.
Next, fill out all requested fields in the registration form.
If you have any questions regarding the information requested by your state, please contact your Secretary of State. After you fill out your voter registration form, simply click print. Once the document prints, sign it, fold it and mail your form to the pre-printed address.
Please note: This voter registration widget is currently for California citizens only.
Q: If I have changed my address, name or party affiliation, how do I update my voter registration using the ChooseUrFuture.com online voter registration tool?
A: If you have already registered and want to change your name or address, do NOT mark the checkbox next to the statement: I am registering to vote for the first time.
On Step 3 of the process, to change your address, you will mark the checkbox next to the statement: “I have changed my address.” You will be given the opportunity to enter your previous address. If you are changing your name, mark the checkbox next to the statement: “I have changed my name.” You will be given the opportunity to enter your previous name. If you are changing your party affiliation, simply enter your new party affiliation on Step 2 of the process. Complete the rest of the form as indicated.
Q: Why won't my form print? Can I print my voter registration form at a later time?
A: Check to ensure you have the most current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here. Your voter registration form can only be read and printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Q: What do I do if I experience technical problems on the using the ChooseUrFuture.com voter registration widget?
A: If you are still having technical problems, you can download a blank voter registration form and fill it out by hand. See: https://www.sos.ca.gov/nvrc/fedform/.
